V–A–C Sreda online magazine concludes its three-month programme dedicated to memory and its relationship to history, archives, and nostalgia.
In this episode, we present a selection of works curated by Roman Golovko—a sound artist and curator of the Sound Basis course at The Vaults Centre for Artistic Production. The podcast features compositions by Golovko, a sound work by artist Mikhail Myasoedov, and a fragment of an audio installation that was the product of the Sound Basis laboratory in 2024, structured around Stéphane Mallarmé’s poem “A Throw of the Dice” (1897).
In the pauses between the musical pieces, Golovko reflects on the relationship between sound art and media archaeology, and speaks about his own sound label, WLFFFLW Records, which operates at the intersection of experimental music and contemporary art.
